DESCRIPTION (SUMMARY):

A young girl named Aza has one of the best qualities in all of Ayortha. Her singing voice. Aza does not, however, have the other quality in Ayortha, which is beauty. Aza goes on a magical journey and soon becomes a lady-in-waiting for the queen. The queen demands many different and difficult orders. Along the way, Aza also meets a prince named Ijori, gnomes, and ogres.

RECOMMENDATION:

I recommend this book to girls and boys, ages 10-13. This book is a fantasy book, so for anyone who loves fantasy and fiction mixed together this is a great book.

This is the first book in the cherub series it introduces the main characters and is very adventurous and mysterious. James choke lives with his mother but when his stepdad comes with a beer bottle she ends up drinking beer with her medication which ends up killing her. James is forced to go to a foster home in Nebraska because his stepdad doesn’t want James but he took James’ sister so now James can only visit her once a month. James’ roommate Kyle is a neat freak which James hates and they always get into arguments but Kyle ends up being the person who recruits James to CHERUB a secret spy agency for kids.

I recommend this to Boys ages 11-15 girls ages 11-13

Author: Jane Yolen

Description/Summary:

Hannah doesn’t understand why she has to celebrate every Jewish holiday with her grandparents. Why cant she celebrate Easter instead of Passover? Or Christmas instead of Hanukkah, just like her other friends?

Her grandparents are Holocaust survivors, and her grandfather has incredibly extreme reactions towards any mention of it, and Hannah doesn’t understand why we should remember. Then, when she is asked to open the door for Elijah at the seder, she finds herself in a shtetl in Poland, where everything is different...

She discovered that this ‘Chaya’, that everyone seems to think she is, has just lost her parents, and recovered from the sickness that killed them. She used to live in Lublin, but now lives with her aunt and uncle, Gitl and Shmuel. Suddenly, her life turns upside down, when she finds that the year is 1942, and that her and all her family being transported into a concentration camp, where only she knows what will happen, and how many Jews will be killed. Hannah now understands why it is so important to remember, she will never forget... If she survives.

Recommendation:

I recommend this book to kids from the age of 10-12. It was an easy read, but it gets very sad at some parts. I also recommend this book to people who like historical fiction, because it did happen, just not exactly in Hannah’s story.

Summary: The book A Company of Swans is about a young women Harriet who finds herself in a number of predicaments and in love. Harriet is brought up in a non-loving family without a mother and with ought many friends. She is set to marry someone who she doesn’t love and is promised a life of misery. Harriet is not happy with this life to be and runs away to Brazil and finds friends, love, and much more. The problem is her old life is catching up with her. Her husband to be is trying to bring her back to the miserable life in England. She to servivee this adventure she has to be cunning, smarts, and keep sane.

Hook: There was no lovelier view in England, Harriet knew this. To her right, the soaring towers of King’s College Chapel and the immaculate lawns sloping down to the river’s edge; to her lefts, the blue and gold of the scillas and daffodils splashed in rich abundance between the trees of the Fellows’ Gardens. Yet as she leaned over the stone parapet of the bridge on which she stood, her face was pensive and her feet- and this was unusual in the daughter of a professor of classics in the year 1912 – were folded in the fifth position.

I would recommend this book to mostly girls’ ages 10 – 14. I would also recommend this to people whom like dancing because it has many dancing references. The book A Company of Swans is available at chapters, kids books, and the class library.

The Battle of the Labyrinth (By: Rick Riordan)

This book is about a boy named Percy Jackson who is a half-blood (half human half god). The Titan lord Kronos is trying to take over mount Olympus. Percy Jackson and his friends must navigate through and underground maze called the Labyrinth, to try and find Kronos and stop him.

Hook: Imagine being 14 years old, half human, half god and you must go on an insanely dangerous quest with only a sword and you have to fight the titan lord. You are wondering how anybody can do this... well Percy Jackson is going to take a shot at it.

I would recommend this book to people in grade five and up. I would also recommend this book to people who enjoy adventure and Greek mythology.

Book Talk: The Thirty Nine Clues… the Maze of Bones

My name is Seth and my book is called The Maze of Bones by Rick Riordan.

Summary: This book is about two kids named Amy and Dan Cahill whose parents died and they live with their wealthy grandmother Grace in her mansion. Everything is fine until she passes away as well. All of the Cahill family is brought to Grace’s mansion for her lawyer to explain her will. The lawyer says that there are two options: One is to take 1 million dollars and leave, or two is to get the first clue of thirty nine to make you the most powerful human being in all of history. Which one would you choose?

Hook: Imagine, your parents die and you leave with your grandmother and then she passes away. Then you are forced to live with your weird aunt. Your grandmother leaves a will for you for 1 million dollars. Or one clue to thirty nine more clues, that is, to be the most powerful human being in history. Hard decision am I right? Well Dan and Amy Cahill will have to make it.

I would recommend this book to people ages 10 to 13. I would also recommend this book to people who like suspense, action, adventure and mystery.

Description/hook:

Katie was six when her parents Asian foods grocery store went broke. Thats when most of her life changed.

She moved to a new city (Chesterfield, Georgia), new school and her parents had a new job working in a chicken hatchery, where the minimum wage was only a few dollars an hour. Luckily, Katie’s uncle Kutsuhisa and the small community of Japanese people were very welcoming. Katie had her very supportive, genius sister Lynn, who thought of everything as Kira-Kira; glittering, and her brother Sammy, who was always fun to play with.

But, when Lynn (katie’s sister) got very ill her mom and dad had to work extra shifts at the hatchery, and only had time to focus on her. Things got very tough in the Takeshima family. The only hope that Katie had left, was to show her family that there is always something glittering; Kira-Kira.

Recommendation: I recommend this book to boys and girls in grades 5-7 who enjoy realistic fiction, a bit of adventure and a story that will touch your heart. It is a very moving narrative about a young japanese girl who lives an extremely hard life. I think you can learn plenty of lessons from this novel and realize how lucky you are.

There are some ways that you can prevent plagiarism. One of which are putting the source right after the idea, or quotes. Those are just a few of the ways that you can prevent plagiarism. Also when you take notes put them in quotes. Make sure that you are not just putting one or two words different.

Paraphrasing is when you use your own words but keep someone else idea. Most people don’t even relies they do this when writing because it is so commonly used. You still have to put the source on the page. You also can’t just change or switch some words around they have to be original.

According to Web Japan, in an ordinary elementary classroom there are usually about 30-40 children in each class. Children study many subjects such as: Japanese, science, socials, math, gym and arts. Many schools are also starting to teach English. Most schools have computers and easy access to the internet. According to Wikipedia, almost all students choose to go on to the upper secondary level. Though some choose not to. Students that attend the lower secondary level tend to go to public secondary schools. This bok is about a young man named Eragon who finds his life turned upside down and inside out in one night. When he finds a polished blue oval stone he thinks that it mught buy him, his cousin and his uncle some food and clothes for the winter. He's not expecting it to be a dragon egg. When the dragon hatches, he thinks he can hide it, but he's seriously mistaken! There are suddenly strangers in town that are looking for a stone; they are describing it as a polished blue oval stone. Eragon and his dragon Saphira are forced to flee, all they have are the clothes on Eragon's back, stolen meat, stolen hides (for a saddle), and Brom the old storyteller.

I recommend this book to kids between the ages of 10 and 14. I think girls or boys will enjoy this book. If you like long reads, fantasy, action, and series then you might want to try this book. The fourth book isn't out yet so you might want to consider reading it slowly or reading it next year because it leaves you hanging at the end of the third book.

Though in the long run it’s bad. It’s both steeling and cheating. Steeling because you steel someone else’s work. Cheating because you make people believe it’s yours. The most famous composer of the 20^th century, Igor Stravinsky made a very clever remark about plagiarism when he said: “bad composers imitate, good composers steel.” What Stravinsky meant to say was that you have to be original, but everyone has a teacher or other source of inspiration.

Cheating, stealing, thievery. Another word to add to the vocabulary is plagiarism. Plagiarism is when you use someone else’s words or ideas and use them in your essay, speech (etc.) with out properly acknowledging them.

There are a few ways that you could plagiarize, this includes: not citing your your information (not saying where and who you got your information from), NOT using quotation marks if you did not make the information into your own words, and lastly only changing around a few words or phrases from the original text. Plagiarism could get you in HUGE trouble. Any where from failing a test, to getting expelled from school. That is why we need to put plagiarism to a stop!

Luckily, there are strategies and ways to avoid plagiarism. A few ways are: to put quotes on EVERYTHING that is directly from the original text. Cite your information to make sure the original writer gets credit. The last thing is to, paraphrase. Paraphrasing is using someone else’s words or ideas, but putting the information into your OWN words. Do remember when paraphrasing, that if you only switch around a few words or phrases it will still be plagiarism. Climbing a mountain is an extreme challenge. There are many things that can go terribly wrong. Either, you can follow the wrong path, and get lost. You can also severely injure yourself. Or even come across dangerous and unwanted creatures.

While climbing you might find yourself taking the wrong trail. If you do so, you will loose your way and have to retrace your steps. If you go the wrong way then you might end up in a complete different location, causing much confusion among you and your fellow hiking companions. Loosing your way is a big issue for climbers.

Climbing is also associated with injury, which is fairly true. Whenever you climb, there is a chance you will slip, fall and damage something. Mountains are not very safe environments, so you must be incredibly cautious when climbing along these areas, you could break a bone or two if you don't. Pain and injury is a common issue for climbers.

Whenever in mountain ranges, you should keep your eyes peeled for threatening animals such as bears, delusional deer, mountain goats or cougars. These and many more are dangerous animals that you do not want to come across while peacefully climbing up a mountain. They would most likely bring your journey and life to a tragic end. Dangerous animals are also threats to climbers.

Mountain climbing is very risky. Many unfortunate events can happen to you while doing so, and you will find yourself in perilous situations. You could loose your way. Injure yourself. Meet carnivorous creatures and more. These are just a few reasons why mountain climbing is a dangerous challenge.

“What is plagiarism?” you might ask yourself. Plagiarism is when you take someone else’s idea and say it’s your own. There are many ways of doing plagiarism, like if you do not put quotes on a saying that a person wrote, not showing the website you got your information from, taking a paper you did for another class and use that for your assignment, and paraphrasing!

Paraphrasing is when you take someone’s paragraph and change it in your own words but you take their idea and say that you wrote it. That’s paraphrasing!

How to avoid doing plagiarism? Just don’t plagiarise! Just don’t take other peoples ideas, don’t paraphrase anybody’s paragraph, list all your sources and don’t copy a paper that you did for another class!

What is plagiarism? When plagiarism first comes to mind you probably think it is just stealing other peoples ideas. Little do you know, there is a lot more rules then that. Plagiarism is taking someone else's idea or expression and using it as your own, buying a parer online, using your own paper that you have already used before. And a big one, not citing where you got your information.

Even if you know what plagiarism is, it’s still hard to avoid. Here are some ways that you can avoid plagiarizing. Give credit whenever you use a fact, theory, statistic, graph..... Put everything you use directly from a text in quotations. Check your paraphrase against the original text to be sure you haven't used the same phrase or word, and that the information is accurate.

Paraphrasing is very commonly used incorporating sources into you essay or piece of writing. A paraphrase is when you use someone else's idea, but using your own words. Although you are using your own words you still must cite you resource.

My favourite toy is a dog named Snoopy. I am going to talk to you about why he is named Snoopy. He's cute, soft, cuddly and protects me. I am also going to talk about who got it for me, my cousin, who lives in London, England and he's five years old.

My favourite toy is a dog named Snoopy. The reason why i called him Snoopy is because he looks exactly like Snoopy from the show called "Charlie Brown and Snoopy."

Snoopy is so cute and soft. He can be very cuddly when i sleep with him. I always feel like h's there to protect me when something bad is happening in the house. He is the most amazing, cute and soft toy ever.

Snoopy's so special to me because my cousin, liam got it for me. he's five years old and he lives in London, England. Snoopy makes me remeber liam that he's so cute and specail too even though he is very wild and lives so far away. That's why Snoopy is so special to me.

In this essay I’m writing about the products that kids want to buy! When one person gets the new product everyone wants it. Every one wants the new cool gadget! When products have more features, kids want them more! Let me tell you why!!

When a person gets the new product everyone wants it! If one person get the new iPod and shows it to all of their friends, then their friend start to want it. Then their friends get it and show all their friends, and soon the new iPod is the biggest product sold!

Everyone wants the new cool gadget! When the first iPod came out everyone wanted it because it was new and cool but now its old news. The iPad is the new cool gadget. The new cool gadget back then is old news to us.

When products have more features kids tend to want it more! For example, the iPod touch had all the application features and kids really want it. Each new computer has more features than the old one so kids want the new one. Now televisions are three dimensional which is a big new feature and a lot of people want it.

In general kids want to buy products that, everyone else has, the new cool gadget and the product with the most features.

Dear Grandchildren,
I am living in 2010, and I want to tell you about my life now. My average day, where I go to school might interest you. My house, and whats inside it will be much different than yours. And last, the technology, which will be a huge shock to you! I hope you enjoy learning about my life in 2010.

My average day isn't that special, but you may find it interesting. I get up at around 7:30, and I get ready for school. at 8:20 I usually arrive at school, and then I learn for approximately 7 hours, from 8:30 to 3:20. Then, my mom picks me up and if I don't have dance that day I sometimes have a friend over or go to someones house. When I get home I normally have something to eat, then start my homework. Once I'm done my homework I usually go on facebook and skype. After that I eat dinner, then go on the computer for a while more and text, I shower, eat something, then at around 10:00 I go to bed. My day may be a little different than yours, but I think there are probably some similarities.

My house, which is probably not nearly as nice as yours, will grab you for sure. It has three floors: a basement, a main floor and a top floor. The basement has five rooms, the office (where we have the computer), the den (where we have air hockey and ping pong), and the laundry room are probably the most used on that floor. On the main floor we have the kitchen, dining room, and a play room for my younger brother. Upstairs is where we have all four bedrooms and a bathroom for each of them. We also have all our books in another room upstairs. Now that you have explored my house you can learn about technology.

Last, but not least, technology, the most changed thing. When you hear about my technology you will think it is ridiculous! One of the newest pieces of technology is something called the Ipad. It is a touch screen laptop made by apple. Another new item is 3-D TV's. They just came out last month, but are not the best quality yet. You probably have much better technology than that, but that is what I have right now.

Now that you have heard all about my life, maybe you can compare it to yours! You have heard about my average day, which is probably a little like yours. You have gone through my house and all that's in it. And, you have learnt about my 'old fashioned' technology. Since you have got the experience of reading about your grandma's childhood life, you can write something to your future grandchildren!

Why live in Vancouver?

By far, Vancouver is the ideal place to live. I will be writing about the thrilling Vancouver 2010 Olympics, Vancouver’s NHL hockey team, and last but not least, all of Vancouver’s tourist attractions.

First, Vancouver started building the Richmond Olympic Oval. About a year after, the Oval reopened as the major Olympic speed skating Oval where the athletes would compete in. When I first went into the Oval to watch a speed skating event it was huge and thrilling! I think we are a very lucky city to be able to have this arena, not only for skating, but for sports too! If you are a newcomer to Vancouver and you are thinking about moving here, I suggest you check out not only the Richmond Olympic Oval, but the many other Olympic sites.

Whenever you enter the General Moters Place building where the Canucks play, you feel happy and excited. Happy to watch a Canadian hockey game, and excited to watch some goals be scored on the opposite team. Even though we haven't won the Stanley Cup ever, we have gotten close, and we have never give up. The Canucks just look forward to trying even more next year and beating our record.

Now, since I have written about the 2010 Olympics, and the Canucks NHL hockey team, I will be writing about Vancouver's tourist attractions. If you have a love for fresh ingredients, market shopping, and taking a ride on a small, but exciting boat ride, then Granville Island is the place to be! I have always gone there with my dad and my siblings whenever possible. Granville Island is for everyone! Vancouver has very beautiful parks such as Stanley park. Stanley park has a huge forest, lot's of green land, and is a nice park. Stanley park is great for picnics too. Vancouver has many fun beaches like Kitsalano beach. Kitsalano has a nice area for picnics like Stanley park, but a great ocean! Vancouver has other beaches like Jericho, Spanish Bank, and Locarno, but to me nothing beats Kistalano.

One of my favorite places that I have been to is definitely Hawaii. Hawaii is a great place to go in the winter because of the boiling hot beautiful weather. Hawaii also has very many different swimming activities to offer as well. Finally, Hawaii also has great places to tour, and they are very popular to travelers.

Hawaii is a great winter vacation for many reasons. Except one reason overrules all reasons. Hawaii saves you from freezing! Hawaii has amazing weather and always attracts many people at that time of year. Hawaii is a great place to go in the winter.

In Hawaii, the weather is not the only great feature about Hawaii. Hawaii also has very many swimming activities. When I went to Hawaii I did many different swimming activities. For example, I went snorkeling, surfing, boogie boarding, and just swimming at the beach!

Finally, Hawaiian touring is also very popular. In Hawaii, you can tour it in many different ways. For example, you can tour on foot, in a car and even on a boat! When I went to Hawaii, I went to tour a banana farm and see how bananas grow. I also went to tour many different beaches and even a string of waterfalls!

In conclusion, Hawaii is a great place to travel to. Hawaii provides great weather on the beaches, boogie boarding, surfing and snorkeling. Hawaii is also great for touring exotic places such as waterfalls and more! Hawaii is clearly one of the best places I have been to.

Is it good being he eldest child or not. Being the eldest child means getting more of a choice in your family and having more attention. The down side is having to take more responsibility and having a lot more pressure. If I could choose I would stay exactly the same.

It is really great to be the eldest child because you get more of a choice. For example: My dad asked me in which part of Israel I want to lice in next year. I also get a lot of attention, like I am the spotlight in the shows we put on for our parents. My parents really enjoy showing me. My parents always say ‘’ this is our eldest daughter Maayan’’ to all of our family friends.

It really sucks to be the eldest child because I always have to take more responsibility of me and my siblings . My parents usually put a lot of pressure on me, so I do well. I take care of my brothers and sisters all the time. My parents the best from me because they say that I am the ‘’example’’ for my siblings.

If I could choose between being the eldest or the youngest. I would choose being the eldest because being the eldest you get more of an opinion and you get a lot of attention.

As you can see being the eldest is by far the best. Even though being the youngest is usually easier, having your voice heard by your parents is by far better than your parents just thinking that you are this cute little kid that makes no sense. So as you can see being the eldest is much better.

My Indecisiveness Essay

I find that it can be very hard for me to make decisions at times. Usually I cannot make up my mind because I keep finding positive reasons about all the things I am deciding between. I get frustrated when I cannot make up my mind and people are pressuring me. I discovered that all this indecisiveness business began with my great, great, great grandpa Joe. Clearly, I am a very indecisive person.

When it comes down to making decisions, I find there are positives to everything, which make decisions very hard to make. Like, for example, yesterday I was trying to decide whether or not I should choose my favorite teacher for the subject of my essay, or my favorite place. I kept finding positive reasons for both subjects making decisiveness impossible. In the end, I did not choose either of them. Finally, I chose this topic - my indecisiveness.

I get frustrated when I cannot make up my mind. It is like my body is fighting itself. The frustration increases when people start pressuring me. When they pressure me to make a decision, it influences my decision and I do not like the feeling in my body when that happens.

I was talking with my mother yesterday and I discovered that my family has a long history of ancestors who are indecisive. It started with my great, great, great, grandpa Joe. He was trying to decide which chicken farmer to purchase chickens from. All of one farmer’s chickens were cheap and ‘crappy’ while the other farmer’s chickens were expensive and good quality. For some reason it took him a very long time – months in fact – to make his choice. In the end, he bought the cheap and ‘crappy’ chickens. When he ate the chicken, he got serious food poisoning and died on spot. So it has passed that every single generation after him got disease of indecisiveness. All the way down to me.

As you can see, I am truly indecisiveness. I get frustrated when I can’t make decisions and I know where I got my indecisiveness. Sometimes I wonder what it would be like if I didn’t have to carry that burden on my back.

Uniforms can be very helpful or very annoying but everyone has a different opinion. Uniforms can be good because students don’t have to worry about what they wear. They can also be annoying because sometimes the uniform is ugly or uncomfortable. Most students do not like uniforms, and I will tell you why.

Uniforms can be helpful to students. In the morning when students wake up and get ready for school, they are usually in a big rush and don’t have time to decide what to wear. With uniforms they already have the clothes chosen for them. Also there is always the dilemma of if your clothes are okay to wear and what other people will be wearing, with uniforms you don’t have to worry about that.

Uniforms can also be very annoying. Sometimes uniforms are uncomfortable and itchy. Uniforms do not come in all sizes and cost a lot of money. Children grow during the school year and buying a new uniform in the middle of the year can cost a lot of money so something that fit you in the beginning of the year might be too small by the middle of the school year.

Most students do not like uniforms. In some schools, students also need to wear certain kinds of shoes. Some students do not like the style or color of their school uniform. Another reason students do not like uniforms is that they can be itchy and uncomfortable to wear.

As you can see, uniforms can be good or bad depending on your opinion. They can be good because you might not have time to decide on what to wear in the morning. But they can be bad because they might be very uncomfortable. Many students that have uniforms do not like them and look forward to days when they do not need to wear their school uniform. So, in conclusion, uniforms are not god or bad.

Types of Homes I’ve Lived In

Hey. Hey you. Yeah you. Now answer me this question. How many different types of homes can you think of. Don’t tell me. But I can imagine that what ever you are thinking of, whether it be a tiny apartment or a large apartment. A big house, or a huge house I can guarantee you that I have already lived in it.
Living in a tiny apartment with my parents as an only child, life was pretty easy. Even though it might have been a little bit squishy, it was a quiet little home. It only lasted as my home before the next home came along.
I’ve lived in many homes, but I can guarantee you that this was by far the worst home I lived in. Here’s why. The same year that we had moved into the larger apartment, we had a new member of the family join us, which meant that I would have to share my room with her. And I had a small room as it was so I would just have to add more clutter to my room. It had a nice little living room, a kitchen so it was just like any old apartment.
This next paragraph is about my first house. It was a nice little house with a huge backyard. I had friends that lived nearby, and they would play with me just about every day. We also lived near by the synogogue, so it would only take us about 5 minutes to walk there. I think that this was probably the nicest house I have lived in.
Now huge houses might be a little problem because they are hard to take care of. I still like the house and I am currentlly living in the house I am about to write about. This house is the biggest home I have lived in. We are renting out our basement to a lady named Danielle but we still have another play space because this house happens to have a cellarium. Although some people like to call it a sun room. We have a familly room, a living room, a dinning room with an extendable table, and a big huge backyard.
Now you probably understand that even though it may sound strange, it is true that I have lived in pretty much every kind of home. But believe me, you only want to live in the home that is right for you. It could be a big house or a huge house, a tiny apartment or a large apartment, whatever works for you, works for me. I hope that your home is a Home Sweet Home.

OSAKA

OSAKA

most good restaurants only serve good food but Osaka does that and also cook the food right in front of you. I will be writing about all the different tricks the chef does, the food, and being with friends.

The chefs at Osaka do all sorts of tricks. My personal favorite is the onion volcano. The onion volcano is when they stack a bunch of slices of onions on top of each other, then they put some liquid inside of them, and then they light it on fire so a huge flame uproars from the onions. If you order shrimp (you should) the chef will flip them up in the air, and catch it in his chef hat.

Osaka’s food is amazing. Their shrimp is with out a doubt the best shrimp on this planet. Along with the perfect sauce that compliments the shrimp insanely well. Another great item on the menu is the grilled chicken. Now this isn’t your average KFC chicken. It is grilled to perfection and marinated with the best sauce you can imagine (except for the shrimp one) to make the perfect combination.

Even though Osaka is awesome, it is not as fun if you don’t have friends with you. There are so many things to talk about with you friends and the chef! When it comes to cooking and socializing, Osaka only hires the best! There aren’t many things more cool then chatting with your friends over the sound of the grill, and then having random bursts of flames to keep you entertained.

Hopefully by now I have convinced you to go to Osaka, because when you put being with friends, great food, and entertainment by the chefs, you get one awesome restaurant

Dogs are great pets!

Do you really want a pet? Are you having trouble deciding between a gold fish, a dog, a cat and a hamster? Well, you don’t have to wonder any more because I’m going to tell you why you should get a dog. Dogs are the best pets. They are protective, give you companionship and help you get exercise. Does a gold fish do that?

Dogs are the best bodyguards. They always protect you and their loud bark keeps robbers away. Dogs sense danger and will warn you if something bad is going to happen. My dog used to bark when people got too close to me, and the only time my house got robbed was when my dog wasn’t there. He always kept the bad people away.

Dogs are the best pets when you are lonely. They are like having a friend with you. They always give you love, and great company, they cuddle you and entertain you all the time. They are even better than people because you can boss them around and they don’t even mind. A study was shown that old people that have dogs live longer than old people without dogs, because they are happy and have a friend to talk to and play with.

Dogs are great for exercise. Dogs are better than treadmills, you run/walk a dog to the park, then you play with them in the park, then you even play with them in the back yard. With a dog you do a lot of running, falling, jumping and chasing. So if you ask me you do a lot more exercise with a dog than with a treadmill.

Dogs are great pets they are protective, great companions and make you exercise. Dogs are the best pets in the world.

If I won one billion dollars in the lottery

If I won one billion dollars in the lottery there wold be many things I would do with the money. I will be writing about what I would spend my money on for my self, What i would give to other people, and what charities I would give to.

If I won I billion dollars in the lottery I would spend some money on myself. I would send my money on things that would make my life more enjoyable. For example I would buy a mansion, a fancy and comfortable car to make driving more fun, a puppy cuddle me, a home theater wit massage chair with cup holder for a better movie experience and a private jet so i never have to be squished in a plane again. I would also buy other things as I want them or need them.

I would also give some of my money to people I know. For my brother Isaac I would give him the 100 cars he feels he desperately needs and a few other things he wants. for my Mom I would also give her a fancy car as well as making our house bigger and giving her enough money to retire. For my Dad who is a simple guy I would give him enough money to retire and a mansion in Whistler. For my Nanny I would give her what ever she wants as well as mansion in the Philippines and enough money to retire. I would also give to other people is I felt it was necessary.

I would give money to Charity to cancer research, charities who help women/children who have been abused, children's wish foundation, homes to the homeless and other charities who need the money.I would make giving to Charity a big part of my life.

In conclusion I would give some money to me, some money to other people and some money to charity. That's what I would do if I won one billion dollars in the lottery.

Death, slavery, betrayal, loss and hope. Unfortunately, Isabel experiences all these things as she faces the hardships of slavery. She is a black girl growing up in (place/year) and faces things that no person should endure.

Hi, my name is Rachel and today I will be speaking to you about the book, "Chains" by Laurie Halse Anderson.

After losing her parents to slavery and death, Isabel takes on the role of taking care of her little sister Ruth. They are both sold as slaves to the Lockton family. Isabel has to overcome many obstacles as she and her sister begin their journey towards freedom, including a war. Every detail of this thrilling story had me wanting more. I felt this way from the moment I read the first paragraph (read first paragraph)

I'm going to discuss how Pompeii is an unusual area. I would like to visit because because it is unusually different. Then about Pompeii's historic sensation, and about touristic sites, and related information. I will end it with my conclusion.

Pompeii is very unusual. There is a modern and an ancient sides of the city. You can discover the discovered part of the city which was destroyed by the volcanic eruption, in 79 AD. Then there is the modern beautiful side of the city, which is typical Italian. This area is rare.

Pompeii has a different history, in 79 AD a pyroclastic flow unexpectedly hit Pompeii, and many other parts of Italy.

It killed and injured thousands, and buried the whole city.

Exploring Pompeii is now popular. Many archeologists come to excavate, and explore the sites in the destruction, and many treasures have been found. Tourists can rent or stay in a home or a hotel. You can live and explore Mount Vesuvius's many wonders. There is still fear in Pompeii.

Besides all the fear and de struction, Pompeii is beautiful. Tourists visit each day. There are

great sites, food , and homes. I would love to visit Pompeii.

My favorite book, by far is Cherub. It hooks you right away with all the crime. Has a clear and good point. An is extremely funny. By the end of this essay you will believe me on every thing I said.

The action hooks you with in seconds. With all the crime and stealing, It’s almost asking you to read more. You get that scared felling inside when you’re reading and your favorite character is getting threatened to be killed by a knife. You feel like you’re in the action with the characters on the mission. That’s how hooked you are.

Cherubs point is as clear as 20x20 vision. From reading the first 40 pages of book #1 you already know what this is all about. Undercover children trying to stop the bad guys but these aren’t any children they are highly skilled and train daily.

The hummer in Cherub is so funny you almost fall off your chair. To prep you up after a scary scene the kids will start joking around and you feel better. The funniest scene yet was when Lauren face planted her trainer. I guarantee you will be smiling in parts of Cherub.

I hope you’re convinced that Cherub hooks you right away. Has a good and very clear point. An is extremely funny. Cherub is by far my favorite book.

A Job that interests me

Before you even think about playing in the NBA you have to ask yourself a few questions. Am I fit enough to constantly move for about 30 minutes? Do I love basketball enough to play it as my job? Do I want to travel to different arenas almost every three days? Who wouldn’t want to play basketball as their job?

Am I fit enough to constantly move for 30 minutes? I could easily constantly move for 30 minutes because I have a personal trainer and I workout by myself almost everyday after school. Training would be an absolute piece of cake for me because everyday after school I play a different sport. Now staying fit would also be manageable because I think and eat healthy. I would be extremely happy to stay fit.

Do I love basketball enough to play it as my job? I would love to play basketball as my job. To do what I love to and get paid for it would be a dream comes true. To play basketball and get paid for it would definitely be something I would be interested in doing.

Do I want to travel almost every three days? To travel in a private airplane with all my teammates would be amazing. Being in a different arenas every three days would be great. Flying to different arenas every three days would be no threat to me.

I am fit, love basketball and would love to travel a lot. Who wouldn’t want to play basketball in the NBA? I know I would be very interested to play basketball as my job.

How to Help a Family Affected by a Fire

When a tragedy happens in a neighborhood, especially a fire, everyone wants to help. The big question is how? There are different levels of how you could help. You could send food, raise money, or even let them stay in your home.

Sending food to a family who just suffered a traumatic event is an amazing mitzvah. When a family has just encountered a blazing fire, sending food may no sound like much, but it is. You could send a fruit basket, vegetables from your garden, home baked cookies, or maybe even a warm lasagna.

When a family has just lost their home to a fire, every penny helps. Maybe the family doesn’t want to seem like they need money, but if you were in their position you wouldn’t be throwing your money around. What you can do, is raise money from the whole community for the family. Then the family wouldn’t feel the need to ask for money.

When a house gets burned down, the family obviously doesn’t have a place to sleep. A great way to help, is offer the family your home to stay in. Even if you don’t have a very big house, it doesn't matter. When you offer your home, you are showing how much you care for the family in need. And that’s all that matters.

Now you know a number of meaningful ways you can help a family in your neighborhood, if they are in a fire. Tragedies happen, and we need to learn how to help make them better. You can send food, raise money, or even let them stay in your home until they are recovered. “Treat you’re neighbor as you would want to be treated”.

Why Travel to Disney Land?

If I could travel to any place around the world I would go to the ‘Happiest place on earth’ Disney land. Going on the fun rides, meeting the Disney characters, visiting Disney land during the night time. This all sounds like a dream come true!

As you probably know, Disney land is an amusement park. Therefor, Disney land has loads of scary, relaxing and fun rides! You will always be able to find a ride you like, weather its an upside down roller coaster (like, California screamin’), a water ride (like, splash down mountain) or a soothing/young child ride (like, ‘its a small world’). One of the highlights about the rides are that they are themed around the Disney: movies, T.V shows or characters.

You have seen the disney character in movies, T.V shows and musicals, now its your time to meet them! When you enter Disney land you will get the one in a life time chance to meet all the character’s. There are many tourist attractions in disney land where you could meet the disney characters for example: Goofy’s kitchen, minnie&mickeys houses or even during a parade.

Everything at night is taken up a notch and especially in Disney land! They have parades, fire works and more! The candy/ice cream shop is opened for an extra hour and the rides are NOT crowded! But, the BEST part is going on California screamin’ at night. The ride is lit up, not crowded (well not AS crowded) and there is wonderful music playing in the background!

As you can probably see, Disney land is a great place to travel to. With all the unique rides, silly characters, and the exciting night life, you will always be having a fun and busy day. I think the ‘Happiest place on earth’ is also the best place on earth!

Mrs. Hinskie was a teacher of mine in third grade at Bormblume Solomen Shecter School. She was one of my most memorable teacher. She looked like no other teacher and her personality was the same. When she taught you, you knew you would never forget the material or the look on her face when you finally got it right. She was my favorite and most memorable teacher and in this essay I will explain.

Mrs. Hinskie had a way of dressing that no other teacher could pull off. She always wore either silk shawls and jeans or a nice shirt and gauchos. But of courses with turquoise cowboy boots. She had thin red hair that was always at her shoulders and some bangs. She had very pale skin with freckles and a tattoo on her ankle. She was in a car crash before my family knew her and she didn't have there fingers on her right hand. Most people would stare but I just was so used to it I didn't even notice. She could pull off just about anything with her style and personality.

With her personality some people would say mean but those were the people who didn't know her. She have a very dry sens of humor and was strict sometimes but not unless you were on her bad side. She was very accomplished and was proud of it. But most of all she was feisty. To this day I can see her arguing about how she should be able to wear jeans. Her personality was unique just like her teaching.

Mrs. Hinskie's teaching method was different than all of the other teachers in all of my schools. When you read a book you took a A.R. test and you would get points. To get a good grade you needed many points. That's were the prizes come in. If you were in the top three points you got a prize. Darleen is Mrs. Hinskie's dog who would sit in a chair in the back of the room . Darleen was a teaching tool when you got something right you could take care of her for an amount of time. We the class would try to be the best so we could take care of Darleen. She would reward us with different objects and activities like the prize box, Darleen, and art.

Mrs. Hinskie was a great teacher and friend she was kind, humorous and strong headed. Those are the qualities that I love about her. She dresses like no other teacher and I have never had a teacher who teaches quit like her, and I don't think I ever will.

Imagine living in a world where if you’re Jewish living in Germany you get sent to a concentration camp where the Nazis persecute you and leave you to die. Anne Frank did. Her and her family go into hiding from the Nazis for 2 years living with 2 other families. From July 12th 1942- August 1st 1944 Anne wrote in a diary about her and her family in hiding. She explains in the diary what it truly feels like to be totally cut off from the world and the struggles and fights living with 2 other families. The diary is written from the perspective of a teenager who just wants to be a teenager.
By the way, Anne Frank’s diary is actually a real diary that was written by her.

Hello everybody my name is Josha and today my book talk is on Anne Frank’s diary written by Anne Frank. Anne frank’s diary is about when her and her family go into hiding with 2 other families for 2 years. She writes from the perspective of a person stubbornly honest, touchingly vulnerable and just in love with life. She writes about how she hungers for affection and the fights her and her mother get into. She tells her tale with the wisdom of a 50 year old but in truth she is only 13. Now that I think about it, she is only 1 year older than me.

I’d recommend this book to kids ages 11- 15 who like sadness, happiness, love, hatred and just plain stupidness.

Book talk #2- Percy Jackson and the Olympians the lightning thief

Hook- Imagine being a regular normal boy one day and the next you figure out that you are a half blood because your father is the G-D of the sea Poseidon. Then you figured out that Zeus’s master bolt was stolen and you are their main suspect. And it was all up to you and your friends to restore peace within the G-d’s and the world.
My name is Maayan Fadida and the book I am doing is called Percy Jackson and the Olympians the lightning thief by Rick Riordan.

Summary- It all starts out with a boy named Percy Jackson that has been kicked out of too many boarding schools to count. At the moment he is being kicked out of a school but that is not exactly at the top of his list right now. Percy has been experiencing some odd things to him like having mythological creatures walk straight out of your history book and having your teacher turn into an animal at the museum. All of these things were answered to Percy when learned that he is the son of Poseidon and that he is a half-blood.

Zeus the G-d of the sky’s master bolt has been stolen and their main suspect is Percy. Percy and his friends have been sent on a quest to find the bolt and return it to Zeus before the summer solstice in ten days. Percy can’t take a plane to where he needs to go because he cannot go in the sky because the Zeus is up there and he thinks that Percy stole his bolt. So, bad things could happen. Did they return the bolt to Zeus or not you’ll have to read to find out.

I recommend this book to people who like adventure and fantasy. I think this book is suitable for kids the ages of 9- 13.

My favorite pet is my dog, Romeo. He is beautiful and easy to care for. Playing with him is lots of fun. He always takes care of me. I have never had a better pet.

Romeo is beautiful and easy to care for. He is a tricolor Sheltie, mostly black with white and a bit of brown. Caring for him is easy because I simply have to make sure he has fresh water and food every day. I exercise him by throwing his toys. Because he is good looking and doesn’t require much care Romeo is a good pet.

Romeo is lots of fun to play with. He loves to play catch. He follows me around the house with a toy and drops it on my foot so I will toss it. He can catch just about anything, but his favorite is chasing a Frisbee. I really have fun playing with Romeo.

Romeo takes care of me. He always follows me when I leave a room. When I am sitting on a couch he plops down right beside me. On sunny days when we are hiking in the woods he always makes sure that I keep up with the rest of the family. He always watches out for me.

As you can see, Romeo is a great pet. I am proud of him and he doesn’t require much care. Playing with him is very pleasurable. I am always safe because he watches over me. Romeo is a wonderful pet.

An essay is a written composition that is combined of three main parts. There are three steps in writing an essay. One you have to work out what you’re writing about. Two you have to go brainstorm ideas and discuss them. Three you should go through all of your ideas and separate the good ones from the bad ones.

There are three main parts of an essay. There’s the introduction the body and then the conclusion. The introduction is the outline of the essay it states what the essay is going to be about. The body are several paragraphs that are on different ideas. The conclusion wraps up not just the essay but it brings all your ideas to a close.

You should make an essay plan before starting to write your essay. That way you know not just what’s needed in it but also what you would like to include. Also a good plan is to make sure you know the rules of writing an essay before you write one. Here are some really important rules you should know always one idea per paragraph, make sure that you link your paragraphs together, you will need a topic sentence witch is usually at the beginning and make sure each of your paragraphs only contain one point.

There are a few types of essays such as opinion discuss, compare, contrast or explain. If your essay is supposed to be on your opinion make sure that you put thought into it. If in your essay you are supposed to discuss make sure that you consider everyone’s voice. If you are supposed to compare and contrast in your essay try to find facts that are on the same subject but slightly different. If you are writing an essay and you are supposed to explain your subject make sure to find good information.

Some tips that I think would be very useful when writing an essay are when doing your plan make sure to organize your essay. Once you are done writing your first draft review it. While writing an essay make sure to be constantly using spell check. If you can read aloud to make sure your essay is not just good in your head but also on the paper. Make sure before you hand in your essay that there is a title and that your essay answers all the questions that were supposed to be answered in your essay.

What is an essay? Is it a cluster of messy writing looking formal? No. It is a written composition on any subject. There are many parts of an essay that you need to know about. Here I will explain a couple of things. One how to plan an essay, two what are it’s parts and three different types of essays. Let’s start from the top of the list, how to plan an essay.

When ever you write an essay, or any piece of writing, you need to plan. You need to know how your essay will look like. What you want in it, and how you can keep it organized. There are a couple good ways to plan an essay. Before you write your outline or brainstorm, you need to analyze your information and pick out all the information you are going to use. You don’t want to start writing and then have loads of useless information written on your paper. Now you can start an outline or brainstorm. An outline is you writing down what you are going to say in each paragraph and where you will put each paragraph and in what order. Another way is brainstorming. You can brainstorm by writing all your ideas in note form or a mind map or anything really. The purpose is to know exactly what you’re going to write. Next step is learning the parts of an essay.

There are three main parts of an essay. The introduction, which is a separate paragraph at the beginning of an essay introducing the essay’s main points. The body, which has all your new edited paragraphs in a easy to understand order. Then last in your essay you have to have a conclusion. The conclusion wraps up all your ideas and summarizes what you have written in your essay. Remember in each of your paragraphs you have to have a topic sentence. To tell the reader what they will learn about in the paragraph. Now that you know all this information you need to know how you can put it into writing, as an essay, by choosing what type of essay to use.

There are many different types of essays that you can write about. It all depends on the subject. You probably won’t want to write an opinion article about ancient Egypt. In an essay you can discuss, explain, compare/contrast, or give your idea or opinion. Sometimes your teacher will ask you to write your opinion of the matter. Although sometimes they ask you to have the hard core facts, and you just need to explain them. Even sometimes you are asked to compare different things, as I did in this past term about Canadian and Japanese society. Always mention the similarities and differences.

Now you can write an essay! Just remember to plan by using a brainstorm or outline. Make sure there are three parts to your essay the introduction, body and conclusion. And last, make sure you know what type of essay you are writing, is it an opinion? Or should you be explaining a specific topic? Good luck with writing your next essay! What is an essay?

Today I will be writing about what an essay is, what main parts there are, how you can plan and then write one and finally some different types of essays you can choose.

An essay is a written piece of information on any subject. There are three main parts to an essay that are introduction, body and conclusion. The introduction introduces the reader into the story, the body is the middle of the essay and the conclusion is the wrap up of the essay.

When writing an essay, you must analyze the topic and work out exactly what you are doing. You should brainstorm, which means thinking about a variety of smart, good and useful ideas that relate to your topic. After brainstorming, you should begin to select the ideas that are best suited to your topic.

When you begin to organize your essay more, you should have at least one main sentence in a paragraph that describes what you will be talking about. Your first paragraph should have an introduction, your paragraphs in between, should have a body and your last paragraph should have a conclusion. Be sure to write a plan before you start.

When you have your first draft, review it. This means to check your spelling and punctuation and read it aloud. Make sure you have a title that makes sense and relates to what you are talking about. When you have written a first draft of your conclusion, make sure it leads the reader and makes them wanting more!

Writing all essays creates a similar format. However, there are many essay styles. Different types of essays are opinion, discussion, explanation, comparison and contrasting ones. I hope you learned as much about essays as I have. I now feel that since I know what an essay really is, it is much easier to write one!

A paragraph is a section of the essay containing information on a main point (one idea only) like the body paragraphs. The body paragraphs give general information about the subject and each body paragraph has a topic sentence that that starts the paragraph by explaining the main point. The conclusion ends off the essay by wrapping up all the information that was given in the essay, it also leaves the reader a good feeling about the essay.

To plan and write a good essay you must do many different things. While you are learning about your topic you should brainstorm ideas, analyze your topic and finally choose the ideas that suit your essay the best. Before writing your essay you must make an essay plan, in the essay plan you must list the main ideas that you want to present in your essay. Then you must make a rough draft and make sure you link your ideas and paragraphs so that they flow well. After you finished writing your rough draft you should check punctuation and spelling.

There are many different types of essays. Some of them tell the opinion of the person who wrote the essay. Some essays compare and contrast ideas, some essays discuss ideas to the reader and some explain ideas to the reader. Although there are many different types of essays each has a different purpose and should be used in different situations.

Have you really ever taken the time to think about what an essay is? Well, today you will have a chance to find out. An essay is a written composition on ANY subject. In my essay I am going to explain what an essay is, what are its parts, what does each part do, how you plan/write an essay and what are some different types of essays.

An essay has three parts, there is an introduction, body and conclusion. The introduction is the first paragraph in your essay. This part of the essay basically introduces your topic and explains what your are going to be speaking about. The ‘body’ is the part of the essay where you explain in farther detail about your topic. The very last part of an essay is the conclusion. A conclusion sums up the whole essay and ties it all together.

When planning out an essay think of it as if you were planning out a story. Just like when writing a story, in an essay you don’t jump to the first draft you start at square one. Square one is to ANALYZE: determine what kind of essay you are going to be doing, is it a explanation? Opinion? Comparing/contrasting? Or discussing? (etc). The next step is to BRAINSTORM: Brainstorming is a synonym for thinking of all the clever and witty ideas related to your topic. The final footstep before taking out your pen and paper is to CHOOSE. Choosing is primarily like narrowing down all your ideas and choosing the ones best suited for your topic.

Once you have finished all of those steps, it is time to get started on writing your essay. There are actually a lot of key points to writing an essay. Probably, one of the most important rules when writing an essay is to make sure you are only focusing on one topic per paragraph, otherwise your essay could become very sloppy and confusing. The next item to think about is choosing a topic sentence. A topic sentence is usually the first or second sentence in your essay explaining your main idea in your paragraph. After you have written your topic sentence, finish off the paragraph with other sentences to support or that are related to your topic sentence.

Your probably wondering why I took all this time to make a thought-out essay about essays, well, knowing how to write an essay is a very important skill. When you grow older you will have to write essays for schools, jobs and much, much more. By now I hope you know the basics of writing an essay and can apply these rules into your own life!

Today I will be talking about what an essay is, the three parts of an essay and how to plan and essay. These few basic steps that I am going to say later on in my essay are helpful and used for school, jobs and more.

The three parts of essays are introduction, body and conclusion. The introduction is the starting point of the essay. It is supposed to catch the reader and make them want to read more. The body is made up of separate paragraphs and in every paragraph there is a different idea or point. The conclusion is supposed to bring the essay to a nice and complete stop but you’re not really summarizing the whole entire essay inside of it. You are supposed to summarize the essay and restate the thesis.

Before every paragraph you are supposed to have a topic sentence. The topic sentence is for the reader and the writer to know, what is going to be in the paragraph after reading or writing the first line. Before you hand in you essay you should read it out loud or let someone else read it for punctuation and conventions. The different types of essays are opinion- share your opinion, discuss- discuss the topic, explain- explain what it is about, comparing- compare the topic with another and contrasting.

To plan an essay you have to start with analyzing the topic, brainstorming all your crazy ideas and choosing what relate to your topic. You should always plan out your ideas on a piece of paper. So, in your first draft all of your ideas are organized and you know what goes where. The key to writing an essay is 1. Find a subject that interests you (or that is chosen for you) 2. What do you have to say about this subject? 3. Develop your idea or ideas in an organized way.

An essay is a written composition on any subject. An essay is made up of 400 words. An essay is made up of 3 parts – introduction (at the beginning), body (in the middle) and conclusion (at the end). Each of these parts is made up of paragraphs. A paragraph focuses on one specific topic. The introduction lays out the stage for what you will be talking about. The body is most of your information is and the conclusion wraps up what you have said.

There are also a few other steps to guide you. These are discuss, compare, explain, contrast and give your opinion. Discussing is talking about all of your ideas. Comparing is discussing with other people your ideas. Explaining is telling everyone about your ideas. Contrast is the difference and giving your opinion is telling people what you think.

Usually, each paragraph will start out with a topic sentence. A topic sentence states the main idea of your paragraph. In each paragraph you have to give evidence to support your main points in the paragraph. Linking your paragraphs together is also important; for example, if you are doing an essay on sharks, you should say how sharks hunt and then what they eat – these two topics are related. But you shouldn’t go from where sharks live to how they hunt.

Essays are useful for sharing information, assignments and expressing ideas. When writing an essay, it is good to organize it. You can organize your essay by using an outline to guide you while you write it. Essays can be written by anyone! Essays can be written by kids and adults but if you are writing one, it is important to know how to write an essay. Essays are also very important to know how to write for future reference. Also if you have a topic that you have to do a project on, writing an essay is a great way to do it.

After brainstorming, it is time to start writing! When you begin writing, make sure that you have a topic sentence for each paragraph and that is often the first sentence. This is helpful becaue it keeps you on a guideline for the paragraph so you do not wander off into an entire new idea. Also, when you finish a paragraph, try to link the last sentence to the first sentence of the next paragraph because it makes is flow well.
There are many different types of essays. For example, an opinion essay. This essay is very self explanatory. An opinion essay is an essay when you learn about your topic, share the information that you have learned and then give your opinion on the topic. Another type of essay is a compare and contrast essay. This essay looks at two topics and compares the similarities and differences. Also, there is the in-class essay and the at-home essay. An in-class essay is when you must write the essay in class within the time limit your teacher gives you. An at-home essay is when you must write the essay at home and it is to be handed in on a given due date.
In conclusion, essays are very important to learn about and how to write. They are also helpful for various reasons. Essays can be written in different forms and they are many tips for helping to write excellent essays.

An essay is a written composition on any topic. There are many different kinds of essays which I’m going to tell you about in this essay. I also will be telling you about how you plan and write essay. Also what the parts of an essay are, and what are they used for.

The parts on an essay are the introduction, body and conclusion. The introduction is the opening paragraph. It tells us what the rest on the essay is going to be about, and the main idea. The body part is a bunch of paragraphs that discuss, explain, tell your opinion, and compare. They each have a topic sentence about the sub-subjects the paragraph is about. The conclusion raps up the essay. There is no new information in it, and it is just reviewing what your essay was about.

There are a few simple and useful ways to plan an essay. You can analyze your topic. For example you can do more research about your topic. Also brainstorming is an excellent way to get more ideas. If you run out ideas you should always brainstorm with friends, it will help. When you are done brainstorming and analyzing you need you choose the best ideas.

Writing and essay, you may think it’s hard but if you follow the steps I’m about to give you it will be a piece of cake. An essay is a written composition on any subject with any amount of words. You can write different types of essays, Write about something you discussed, your opinion on something, compare and contrast ideas, and I’m sure there are many more. Now I’m going to show you how to write one.

Preparing you wouldn’t even know what subject to write about if you didn’t prepare. There are three easy steps for preparing an essay, and they are, discuss, compare and contrast, and brainstorm. Think of all the ideas in your head and if you are working in a group share them. Compare and contrast all your crazy and smart ideas, and then brainstorm on what to write about.

When writing an essay the first thing you must remember is the structure. An essay there is a different type of structure than a story. In an essay you have the Introduction which states what you are going to be talking about a few body paragraphs that have different topics you’ve thought of and the conclusion which sums everything up, in a story you have the beginning middle and end, with the hook, rising action, climax, falling action, and the conclusion. In each essay paragraph you should have a topic sentence, it states what your sentence is about mine are all underlined. remember not to go of topic.

Your introduction this is what will make the readers interested in what they will be reading. If you didn’t have an introduction your teacher or whoever is reading you essay would have no idea what is going on. Here are some ideas on how to make sure you have a well led introduction. Make it interesting I know it isn’t a story but you can’t just write facts in the introduction and the essay. Make sure it isn’t cluttered, it’s just a short introduction and make sure it makes sense in and out of you head.

Your conclusion sums up your whole essay. so, it better be good. Be creative with your conclusion, the reader is probably getting tired so don’t put him to sleep at the last minute. You have to sum up every thing reason why you wrote what you wrote and answer any unanswered questions or else you might not have finished your whole essay.

An essay is a written composition on any subject. Writing is a way of communicating. We communicate when we feel the need to share an idea with others. Organizing our thoughts and structuring the way we express them will help us to be better understood. So, in my opinion, when we use an essay to communicate an idea we should carefully choose our words and structure the text such that each paragraph contains no more than one idea.

To explain this opinion I would like to give an example. Say, I was writing an essay about going to the beach. But first let me tell you that my neighbor bought a new bicycle today. His sister mentioned that it was cold outside for this time of the year. My mother says she likes grapefruit but I like chocolate: Even though all of these sentences might be true, putting them all together in one paragraph will have you confused in no time, and wondering what all of this has to do with me wanting to go to the beach. I hope you agree by now, that it’s better to limit yourself to one idea per paragraph.

It is safe to assume that by the time you write an essay you have already made up your mind what it is you are going to write about. Even though you already have a conclusion you would still better start the essay with a beginning, continue to the middle and put your conclusion at the and.

We probably agree that for the sake of clarity we start at the beginning and end at the end. This is rather obvious. Therefore, it makes for great effect if we sometimes deliberately turn this around. You could start an essay at the end and then go back to the beginning. Also, you could interrupt the flow of a story with short episodes of the past. This is typically used in movies and is called a “flash-back”.

How do you prepare for writing an essay? Well, first you decide what the topic should be. An essay could be fiction, as in a short story, it could be historical, it could be scientific. Once you’ve chosen the topic you do some research, trying to learn lots of facts and different perspectives on what it is you want to write about. Next, you write a first draft, you read it back, you don’t like it, you throw it away and you start all over again. You repeat these steps until you think you can do no better. At that stage it is usually very helpful to ask somebody else to read your essay. You want to make sure that what is clear to you is actually also clear to the reader.

In this essay I will write about the subject of an essay. Even though that sentence may sound a tad bit weird it is true. When writing an essay for the first time it can be very confusing. That is if you don't know how to write it. In the following paragraphs of the essay I will write what an essay is, the make up of the essay, how to plan an essay, and the different types of essays.

An essay is a composition on a subject. These subjects can vary in form but they are always written out, well planed, and take time. It has a title. When written out there are three main parts introduction, body, and conclusion.

The make up of an essay has three parts the introduction, body, and conclusion. The introduction introduces the subject of the essay and gets the reader hooked. The body is where all the facts, ideas, and paragraphs go, giving the reader the main points. The conclusion is what sums up the essay and makes a closing.

When planning an essay you start by getting the facts. Then after you have done your research you draw the outline. An outline is when you put your main topics from the body of the essay then your closing and opening. You then write the introduction, and conclusion paragraphs. After that you write the of the body from those main topics which you planned out. Then the introduction and conclusion. You put it all together can get an essay.

There are several different types of essays. Opinion essays, discussion essays, comparison essays, contrast essays, and explanation essays. For different topics or subjects you should use different essay types. You will use all of these types of essays in your future and they are all important.

Now that you know how to write an essay it should be easy. Hopefully you learned as much as I did in this essay. On what an essay is, what are the parts of an essay, how to plan an essay, and the diffrent typs of essays.

What is the bounty hunter television show about?

The bounty hunter comes into action when someone bails on showing to court or for other specific reasons. In the show the bounty hunter you see his wife, his family, his dog, all of the people who work for him and of course him. When you watch the bounty hunter you even learn things like suspect’s names, how to use huge pepper spray bottles and how to use many other weapons. The bounty hunter can’t just randomly go and search for suspects and take them to jail he needs permits, he gets permits by going to the police. The show also talks a bit about his past and his family.

Meredith is Izzie’s best friend, who is great except for the fact that she brings Izzie down by constantly telling her how upset she is with life. Christina is a brain surgeon and she doesn’t say much, but when she does it’s always dark and spooky. They’re all friends, but they spend a lot of time making each other upset. Together they make a great show, with great personalities to laugh at.

My dad said "Sure it's right there." So I walked down and I didn't see the men and women sign because I was looking at the clown blowing balloons and making animals. I walked while I watched and I looked at ahead of me and didn't see the signs. I accidently went into the men's bathroom and when I got there I smelled something horrible...! I saw a man and I thought "Where am I?" I realized I was in the men's bathroom. I almost screamed but instead I ran out so I wouldn't see something else. It was the worst time of my life!!

I enjoy playing baseball

Four times a week I am at the baseball diamond playing ball regardless of rain or shine. Although it may seem like a bit much, but I love playing baseball. Every Tuesday I have a practice after school. I have a game every Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. Baseball is a very fun sport and gives me exercise! Sometimes we win and sometimes we lose. Spending All Summer at Camp

The last day of summer only means one thing to me: school is tomorrow! UH OH......! School.. some people can't wait but I can wait forever. Sitting in a stuffy classroom all day is just not me! On the last day of summer you remember all the fun things you did during the summer, toilet papering cabins at camp, getting into trouble, spending time with your friends, no homework, no parents bugging you (most of the time), and in my case stealing some guy's banana board at the park. For me just the prospect of school after a fun filled summer makes me sad!

Out of all of the things that our school needs, our school needs grass. Grass is necessary because during almost every recess, at least one kid gets hurt because they trip or fall down and get a scratched knee because the field that we have is gravel. Even though we don't have a grass field, we still have a field, and we are lucky to have it. Although, or school still needs a grass field.

What our School Needs the Most

Our narrow school hallways are always crowded with people, we need to enlarge them. Having these very narrow hallways can be very problematic because they tend to get stuffed easily. There are so many people in this school that we should have hallways that are wide enough for them to pass without much difficulty. We can not decrease the number of students, but we can however increase the width of these old hallways. You can almost suffocate in these hallways when they are crammed with students, enlarging these hallways is an absolute necessity.

The best program on television is the Fireplace Channel. I like it because every half an hour a guy pokes his hand into the fireplace to keep it going. If you don't have a fireplace, it makes you feel like you have one right in front of you. I also like the Fireplace Channel because there are no commercials. There are things that I both love and hate about Israel. One of the things I love is sitting under the boiling heat in a nice comfy beach chair and getting a nice sun tan all day long. The thing I hate the most of all is that all the stores are closed on Saturday, so its boring (cause I can't buy chocolate). One of my favourite parts is going to the dead sea because you can float on the water for as long as you want and you won't sink! The down side of the dead sea is that if the salty water gets in your eyes it burns like crazy. Except for those few bad things Israel is pretty awesome!

Yes, Google may have millions of web pages. Yes, Wiki's may have unlimited amounts of information. Yes, Periodicals can be useful. And yes, Primary Sources are first hand.

But, then there are books...

And that is Our group!

We believe books are the finest source, because, you don't need Wi-Fi, you don't need to put stress on yourself by searching for hours for an old newspaper, you don't need to worry about your information being false... all you have to worry about is being overloaded with information.

As Charles W. Eliot said:

"Books are the quietest and most constant of friends; they are the most accessible and wisest of counselors, and the most patient of teachers."

Google is a search engine that can get you anywhere you want and gives you access to millions on websites. There is no point in having books, encyclopedias, periodicals and primary sources when you can have it all with Google. At Google can you search about anything you want. There is endless information; we were so overwhelmed by having so much information to choose from. There are good quality websites and you can find images, videos and E-Mail, all of them available to you with just a click of a button. It can also save you lots of money and time because of online books, magazines, newspapers etc…
You have to buy books but you don’t have to buy Google. We have Nadav doing economy and food, Maayan doing agriculture, interest’s and language, Jennie doing culture and immigration and Josha doing population, government and laws Look at all of this information we got from one search engine.

Our group is the Wikipedia group and we feel that our source is the best in many aspects. Beating most other groups with our big advantage, there’s no limit to what you can find. There are over 20 mill Wikipedia pages and they come in all languages.

Wikipedia is an online encyclopedia. Many people do post to Wikipedia, but, on scientific matters, Wikipedia came close to the accuracy of Encyclopedia Britannica.

Good afternoon fellow grade 6 students and Mr.Gelmon,

Today we will be talking about the two best sources, periodicals and primary sources. Our sources, have the most reliable and useful information. We are very happy to be here representing primary sources and periodicals for we KNOW that they are the best sources, and throughout this debate we will tell you why.

A periodical is a newspaper or a magazine that comes out regularly over periods of time. Primary sources are firsthand information (that’s how you know it’s reliable) written by a person like a journal or a letter, it can also be an artifact or a photograph.

Today we will be discussing the differences between Canadian and Japanese Society.

By multi talented and artistic Gil we have art and religion.
