effective/ineffective conclusion

The last book I read was The Lemonade War by: Jacqueline Davies. I thought the conclusion was both effective and ineffective. It was effective because it was a happy ending, that was really interesting and was the perfect ending. If the author was planning on writing a sequel it would be an ineffective ending because it answered all of my big questions and only left a very small portion of my small questions unanswered, so if the author was to write a sequel it would basically be a completely different story that barely had anything to do with the second one.

I don't think there is a sequel to this book so in the end it is and effective lead.
