Past and Present Paragraphs

Present tense:

I am in the car on my way to Seattle and I think that this trip will be lots of fun.  My dad and I are watching a movie and then we are there.  I really want to play some basketball with my dad, but my mom keeps telling me I can’t play basketball until I buy the clothes I need.  I am not happy about this!  I am on my way to the mall (unfortunately).  I am at the mall (hooray).  I am following my mom around (yawn).  I am trying on whatever my mom gives me to make this as quick as possible (groan).  I now have all my clothes (and a little less of my dignity) and my mom finally says I can go play some basketball.

Past tense:

This weekend I drove to Seattle.  The car ride was fun because I got to watch movies with my dad the whole time.  I really wanted to play some basketball, but my mom forced me to go shopping for some clothes I needed at the mall.  I reluctantly went and struggled through all my shopping and finally got to play basketball.

Past/ Present Paragraphs.

Yesterday I and my friend Joel had a sleepover at his new house, Joel recently moved because his grandma is moving in and their old house didn’t have enough space. We played some video games on his Xbox and computer. After that we got hungry and went to the kitchen and ate a chicken wrap, they were good. Right after we ate we went outside to play in the snow, we made a huge snow tunnel that went for about 3 feet back and 2 feet high. After we built it we got bored and smashed it was a shovel. We stayed up to 2:00 Am which is why I was so tired this morning at school

I’m having lots of fun with My Friend Joel. I am beating him at NHL 08 as the Boston Bruins and NFL 07 as the Pittsburgh Steelers, I’m Having a blast! Now I’m Hungry so I am going upstairs to eat a chicken wrap, it has chicken lettuce cheese and other yummy un-kosher things. Mmn, now Joel and I are going to make a big snow fort! Turns out the snow is harder then we though so instead of building up we are building down-sideways-ishh. Wow we did a great job, time to break it!

past/present tense

were we supposed to make a paragraph with both past and present tense or 1 with each?

My Bat Mitzvah in Israel

About one week ago I had my Bat Mitzvah party in Israel. It was held at my grandma and grandpa’s house. It was only for my family, but with my dad’s five sisters, my mom's two brothers, their kids, and all the cousins, it turned out to be about seventy-five people :). The Bat mitzvah was really fun.

It rained all week before the party and there was no way we could fit seventy-five people inside the house. We called someone to make a rooftop over the backyard so we could go outside but not get wet. After it rained all of Thursday night, finally the sun came out on Friday for my party.

In the bat mitzvah there was a slideshow I made. I only knew I was making a slideshow the week of the bat mitzvah. For three days of the week of the Bat Mitzvah I was working really hard on the slideshow. Because we were away from home, we didn't have all of my pictures. I therefore used pictures that my mom had on her laptop and I also looked through pictures that my parents mailed my grandparents over the years and scanned them. In the end, all of my work paid off, because the slideshow worked out great :).

It was so nice to celebrate my Bat Mitzvah in Israel with my family.

I hope all of you had fun in the winter break!
