acerbity

Until i knew what the word acerbity meant i had no clue that it meant bitterness. Although, i did have a feeling that it had somthing to do with unkindness. If i were to write an essay and i had to put the word bitterness or acerbity in it i would choose bitterness. For two reasons a)that i get a better mental picture b)that when someone says bitterness i would think that what ever the person was talking about i would think wow, if you use a strong word as bitterness, then thats horrible because when i eat something bitter and i look in the mirror i have a face that is all scrunched up and mean looking. This is why i would choose bitterness over acerbity.
