My fairy tales 2nd draft

The True Story Of The Emperor’s New Clothes

“49,789.27?” exclaimed the Emperor!
“It doesn’t matter how much you spend, the people can’t see very well any way,” his advisor told him.
“It doesn’t matter what the people think, it matters what you think,” contradicted the salesperson from D&G.
“Good point, I’ll take them.”
“Here you go,” said the Emperor as he handed the salesperson the money.
“And here you go,” said the salesperson while handing the Emperor his new clothes.

Back at D&G headquarters…
“I can’t believe you sold that outfit, for that much, we almost gave it to Salvation Army,” said the manager
“Well the Emperor is really dumb,” replied the salesperson.
“Good work.”

At the parade…
“I wonder where the Emperor is,” whispered one of the townspeople.
“I see him,” said another.
“Wow, I wonder why he’s wearing such old clothes?” asked another townsperson.
“Yeah,” replied another.

“Emperor, why are you wearing clothes from the 1950’s,” screamed a little boy.
“What?” yelled the Emperor back.
“Your clothes, they’re ancient,” said the boy.
“That salesperson, I’m going to get him
Back at the palace…
“Advisor, I thought you said that the townspeople couldn’t see?” asked the Emperor.
“I’m fired right.”
“No, but you are going to pay for those clothes.”
“$50,000?” the advisor said to himself.
“I don’t make that much in a year.”
