World Sickness

World Sickness
By: Arieh Leon Dales

We are going down with the virus
The land of uncertainty
Haunting us in our sleep
It is so perfectly insane
As the waves dig deeper
We feel the pain but do not answer it
All we do is follow the ultimate rule
It runs us
No fixing available
It is too late
The toxic waves slice through our minds
We shall drop as death over comes us
The beat stops the line goes flat
All hope gone all feeling gone
Just the sickly music of the waves
The core destroyed
The delicate temple is no more
It’s all gone except the sliver of light Disappearing slowly but it will be gone soon
We are just robots following the pattern
As the sickness takes over.

Arieh theres nothing you can say about that! I really liked how you used the metaphor 'delicate temple is no more' which I think it means that your body is a temple but because of the disease it is gone. You chose a really good topic too. I also liked how in line 12 its kind of like a bit oldenish which reminds me that its not only our generation with the diseases but its the ones before us and after us

Hey Arieh,
That is very good!
I just have one question on line 8 is says 'runs us' but do you mean ruins us? Just thought it goes.
