Leor's Booktalk on "We All Fall Down"

Author: Eric Walters

Short Description: Imagine living through a historical event that still affects our world today. On September 11, 2001 Grade nine student, Will, goes to visit his father at work as part of a class assignment. His father works at the south building of the World Trade Center. Will isn’t very excited to go because of the endless hours he knows his dad spends at work, he thinks that it will be the same today and he will be ignored. Will watches in appall as a large commercial plane crashes into the north tower of the World Trade Center. Little does he know that the south tower, in which he stands, is next. In this exciting adventure Will and his father fight together for survival while walking down 85 flights of stairs, will they survive? Or are they too late?

Recommendation: I recommend this book to both boys and girls at the age of 10+ who enjoy reading historical fiction and adventure. This book is only 195 pages long but expresses a very important event in history in a very meaningful and interesting way. This book is available at our classroom library, public library and is also found at Chapters and Indigo bookstores.
