My alarm clock was ringing; it was a school day. I got up quickly, got dressed, grabbed a bite to eat and run out the door.

When I got to school lots of people were standing outside talking to each other. I just budged through, knowing that I’ll be late if I talked to anyone, and anyway no one wanted to talk to me.

I walked towards my locker in the senior hallway, when I saw someone stand in front of my locker, it was Gaston. Gaston is the captain and quarterback of the football team in our school.

“Hello,” I said politely, “can you please move I’m tying to get to my locker.”

“Hello to you too,” said the Gaston smiling. “Bonita…”

“What do you want, Gaston?” I cut sharply.

“Bonita, you know that you are the luckiest girl in the whole world?”

“Why is that, Gaston?”

“Because you are going out on a date with the most handsome, popular and strongest guy in the world!”

“Who may that be, Gaston?”

“Me!”

“I’m awfully busy, and anyway, I’d rather not go on a date with you.”

As I was trying to get to my locker I kept being stared at. Usually more people stared at me, but not today. I got my books out of my locker and started reading. I love reading! I was reading when whenever I could. I walked into the class, still reading, as Gaston started talking to me again. I didn’t listen, and I didn’t care what he had to say. I just walked to my seat reading, not listening.

“I’m going on a business trip for today and tomorrow, you children take care, ok?”

“Ok,” we all answered. We all came to give dad a kiss.

“Do you want anything, children?”

“A new toy truck!” screamed Brandon.

“A new Barbie doll!” shrieked Kate.

“A Bike!” said Jake excitingly.

“A credit card!” yelled Chloe.

“A car!” said Simon.

“What about you Bonita? Do you want anything?” asked dad.

“Yes, I want a rose, because they don’t grow near here.” I said.

“A rose?” They all asked.

“I’ll do as you wish.” dad said, and then he left with his puppy, Spot.

In the middle of the night I heard loud barks out side the door. I got dressed and went outside to see what was going on. Spot was barking wildly on the front porch.

“Where is daddy, spot?” I asked knowing something was wrong. Spot barked twice and started walking. I followed him into the darkness of the night.

Spot stopped in front of a big building just an hour away from New York. It was a big black building; it looked like a haunted house. I opened the gates to the front yard, taking Spot into my hands. I walked quickly through the yard and opened the front door. It was dark inside and spooky.

“Hello?” I asked into the darkness. “Is anyone home?” No answer. “Hello?”

“I suggest you leave little girl,” said a mysterious voice.

“Who are you? Where are you? And anyway I’m not a little girl!” I said stiffly. “I’m here for a reason. I’m looking for my dad, and why am I telling you all of this?” I said angrily, walking off.

I walked down stairs to the basement of the building, and then I saw jail cells and looked at them blankly.

“Dad? Dad? Are in here?”

“Bonita? What are you doing here?”

“I came to get you out of here.”

“No, you have to get out of here”

“Why?”

“Because of the…”

“Aaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrr!” some one roared behind me. I gasped when I saw the Vampire. He was so ugly I couldn’t believe it. He looked angrily at me, and I was frightened.

“How dare you come in here?!” said the Vampire angrily.

“How dare you take my father hostage?” I replied with no respect. “You have to let him go!”

“I’ll let your father go.” said the Vampire with his face down.

“Really? You would really do that?” I said surprised.

“Only, if you stay here instead of your father.”

“Bonita! Please! Don’t!” shouted my father behind me. “Let me stay and you shall go away from here!”

“No, father, I have to stay!”

“Are you staying willingly?” asked the Vampire staring at me.

“Yes, I am.”

“Then you shall go!” said the Vampire to my father. The Vampire took him out of the jail cell, grabbed his hand and rushed out side with him. Then he put him on a horse, which slowly disappeared.

“I’ll show you to your room,” said the Vampire quietly, walking up the stairs to the second floor. He walked down the hallway and I followed, upset that I gave up my life, and that I will never see my family again.

“This is your room,” he said opening a big set of doors. “I hope you enjoy it.” Then he left. “You will join me for breakfast.” He said coming back in.

“What if I don’t want to?” I asked.

“It’s a command!” he spoke loudly.

“Well, too bad! I’m not going!” I yelled. I fell on the bed and started weeping, soaking the bed in my tears. How could I ever live my life like this? It’ in possible to live your life with a Vampire, the same way it’s impossible to live your life as a fairy tale, or what you dream for your self.

“It’s going to be OK, darling.” said the same voice that I heard when I walked into the building. I looked around the room and saw no one.

“Where are you?”

“I’m here, my child.”

“Where is here?”

“Under you.”

I looked down and saw a cat. That’s weird cats can’t talk, or can they?

“Are you the one that talked?”

“Of course I am! Can you see anyone else here?”

“No, but…”

“I know, I know cats can’t talk.”

“So, how come you are talking?”

“Well, it’s along story…”

“I have time.”

So she told me the whole story, and I listened. It kind of sounded like a fairy tale. It sounded romantic and charming. So, after that I decided to give Leo, the Vampire, a chance. I got all dressed up and came to breakfast. He was sitting in one end of the table and there was a chair on the other. I sat down and smiled.

“I’m glad you came,” he said politely “please, dig in.” We ate in silence until we heard someone burst through the front door. Then we heard more people walking and talking. I stood up and went to the front doors to see who they were. I saw my brothers and sisters and class members and Gaston in the building.

When Gaston saw the Vampire, he walked towards him, took out his gun and shot.

Bam!

Bam!

Bam!

He shot Leo right at the heart. Gaston went closer to him and started to beat the dead body up. All of a sudden it got bright and the cat flew up in the air. She turned into a person. A lovely young woman appeared before our eyes. We all cheered because the Vampire was dead. I looked at Gaston beside me. I should have given him a chance, I will now. If I did I would have gotten a fairy tale life, with my Prince Charming. Now, I learned that I did have a fairy tale life, I just had to give it a chance.
