Opening Statement

Good afternoon fellow grade 6 students and Mr.Gelmon,

Today we will be talking about the two best sources, periodicals and primary sources. Our sources, have the most reliable and useful information. We are very happy to be here representing primary sources and periodicals for we KNOW that they are the best sources, and throughout this debate we will tell you why.

A periodical is a newspaper or a magazine that comes out regularly over periods of time. Primary sources are firsthand information (that’s how you know it’s reliable) written by a person like a journal or a letter, it can also be an artifact or a photograph.

Today we will be discussing the differences between Canadian and Japanese Society.

By multi talented and artistic Gil we have art and religion.

By dance maniac Noga, music and food.

Two-time speech contest winner Izzy will be talking about government, economy and laws.

Soccer champion Neeve will be discussing immigration laws and language

And last but definitely not least two-time speech contest winner Leor with food and tourism.

By the end of our presentation we are sure that you will agree that periodicals and primary sources are THE BEST sources!

Thank you.
