cindersmelli

Cindersmelli twisted fairy tale draft one by Gabi

Once upon a time not so long ago, not even so far away in Whistler B.C. lived middle-aged women by the name of Cindy. Cindy was a very beautiful girl inside and out, for the most part, unfortunately she had the ugliest feet. Why would this matter? you may ask. She did not only have ugly feet but she had size fifteen extra wide with multiple warts and bunions. Cindy had dreams of her own, she dreamed of moving out of her tiny room in the house so she could get away form her evil brothers who treated her like a slave in her own home. She also dreamed of going off and marring and Olympic luger on team Canada. Her friends always made fun of her by saying,

“Haha you want to marry a loser”

“Wow that’s weird” her friends would say,

“No guys, I want to marry a luger.”

She never let that get to her and make her feel bad. She knew someday she would find this luger in who she has always dreamed of. One day while she was cleaning the pig sty her brothers left for her to clean up she found an invitation to go to a celebration in honor of the Canadian luge team that won a gold medal that day. She decided,

“I must go, I actually have a chance to meat this mister right I have always dreamed of.”

Of course she didn’t have a dress or nice shies to wear and wondered what to do.

“What ever will I do,” she wondered in distress.

When suddenly a fairy godfather appeared with a “decent” looking dress and a beautiful pair of size five extra narrow glass slippers. The dress fit like a glove but the slippers on the other hand wouldn’t even fit on her pinky toe, so she compromised with a horribly hideous pair of green polyester pair of hiking boots, she was not too worried about this because she assumed that her dress would cover the monstrosity. So without a care she ran with her hiking boots to the party and there she had a blast and yes, as you probably guessed she did meet this luger that she had always dreamed of and it looked liked they both really enjoyed there company and danced the night away. When the clock struck 11:59 she had to be back home and so, just like that she disappeared without even a goodbye or a phone number. When the party was finally over the luger said,

“Goodbye everyone, thanks for coming eh,”

He took one look at these ugly shoe he had found at the bottom of his stairs and decided that he wouldn’t even bother finding the owner of these ugly shoes because he just assumed that since these shoes were so gross that the owner would be as ugly and gross, without realizing that the shoe actually belonged to Cindy the beautiful girl that he had danced with earlier that night.

So in the end Cindy and the luger didn’t go off and live a happy life together but Cindy didn’t live a completely horrible and lonely life. She ended up being the guinea pig for a foot fungus laboratory and saving enough money to move out of the house and far away form her evil step brothers and for the luger he met a skeleton athlete and ended up marring her so I guess you can say, and they all lived happily ever after, for the most part.

Dear Gabi, this was a wonderful story. However, you should consider adding some dialogue. I loved the Olympic twist, great job!-Salome

Gabi, I love this story idea. Seeing as this is only your rough draft here are your scores:
Title and Lead, 3 - it was clear and it grabbed the reader.
Conventions, 2 - I would advise going through it one more time just to fix up some things.
Dialogue, I'm not sure what score you got on this. You had some dialogue, but not that much.
Sensory Language, 2.5 - you had some great words and I suggest you use some more.
Organization, 4 - your beginning middle and end were very clear.
Conclusion, 4 - your ending was very cute and I really liked it. It was also really powerful.
Good Job. I love the story!
